  • FREE Burlesque Movie Night

Join us for our monthly Burlesque Movie Night at Cell Block #9 — a cozy, creative, community-centered evening where we gather to watch, relax, and connect. For April, we’ll be screening Getting Naked: A Burlesque Story (2017), an intimate documentary that peels back the curtain on the neo-burlesque scene in New York City. The film follows four performers as they navigate identity, artistry, and belonging within a world of glitter, grit, and unapologetic self-expression. It’s raw, real, and a beautiful look at what it means to step into your power on and off stage. This is a laid-back, come-as-you-are hang — bring costuming projects, knitting, admin work, homework, or nothing at all. Come to create, unwind, network, or just vibe with community. ✨ Pajamas absolutely welcome 🍿 Popcorn provided 🥂 BYOB (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) 🌿 420 friendly Spots are limited to 10, so pre-registration is required. Cell Block #9 is a private home studio near NC State — the exact address will be provided upon registration.
