Sunday, December 20, 2026 6:00–11:00 PM Cell Block #9 – Raleigh, NC FREE Community Event – Pre-registration Required It’s time for the annual Raleigh Burlesque Holiday Party! We’re wrapping up 2026 with food, games, prizes, dance-offs, ridiculous holiday outfits, community, general festive chaos, AND a double feature of two movies that are so over-the-top we simply have to celebrate them: Showgirls (1995) and Burlesque (2010). This is not our usual laid-back Movie Night. We’re having a PARTY. We’ll have games and prizes throughout the evening, dance-offs, plenty of time to hang out and celebrate together, and a potluck, so bring a favorite dish, snack, dessert, or other treat to share. And somewhere in the middle of all that, we’re watching two cinematic masterpieces. And by masterpieces, we mean movies we love to watch, laugh at, quote, yell at the screen during, and generally enjoy for all their ridiculous glory. Showgirls (1995) Elizabeth Berkley stars as Nomi Malone, who arrives in Las Vegas determined to become a dancer and launches herself into the spectacularly dramatic world of Vegas entertainment. There are rhinestones. Rivalries. Auditions. Questionable decisions. Gina Gershon. An enormous amount of drama. And some truly unforgettable choreography. Showgirls was notorious when it was released and has since become a bona fide cult classic. We’ll be watching with all the love, laughter, and commentary it deserves. Burlesque (2010) Then it’s time for Cher, Christina Aguilera, Stanley Tucci, corsets, sequins, giant production numbers, and Hollywood’s extremely imaginative interpretation of what happens inside a burlesque club. A small-town singer moves to Los Angeles, discovers a struggling burlesque club, and naturally becomes its newest star. Is this how burlesque works? Not even a little bit. Do we love watching it anyway? Absolutely. This double feature was made for yelling at the screen, singing along, laughing together, and enjoying every ridiculous, sparkly minute. DRESS RIDICULOUSLY FESTIVE! We are strongly encouraging everyone to show up in their most ridiculous holiday finery — however you choose to interpret that. Tacky Christmas sweater? Sequined holiday showgirl? Deranged elf? Human Christmas tree? Glamorous winter cryptid? Something involving an unreasonable number of bells? The weirder, the better. We’ll vote on the Best Dressed guest of the evening, and the winner will take home a prize!

Cancellation Policy
To cancel or reschedule please contact us at least 24 hours before the first class. Minimums & Maximums: Each class has a required minimum and maximum number of students. Minimums are set to ensure instructors are fairly compensated. If a class does not meet minimum enrollment, it may be canceled and all registered students will be notified. No-Shows: Students who do not attend class (no-shows) forfeit their payment. Payments are not refunded or credited. Refunds: We do not provide refunds for any reason. Transfers: Transfers may be offered only with a valid doctor’s note. Without proper documentation, transfers are not permitted. Final Note: Please treat your registration as a commitment to yourself, your classmates, and your instructors. No refunds, no exceptions.
