Ready to bring your burlesque costume vision to life? Join the 6 Week Costume Creation Challenge at Raleigh School of Burlesque, a focused and supportive space dedicated to helping you create, transform, or perfect a costume over six consecutive weeks. What’s it all about? This challenge is designed for local burlesque performers of all levels who want to carve out dedicated time to work on their costumes, whether starting fresh, reworking an old favorite, or adding dazzling details. With two hours every Monday evening, you’ll have a structured, distraction-free environment to craft your look with expert guidance from Rachel Riot. Where & When: In-person only at Cell Block #9 (Rachel Riot’s home studio, address shared upon registration) Six consecutive Mondays, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM EST, starting Monday, September 15, 2025 Limited to 10 participants to ensure personalized support and space Who Can Join? You do not have to be a current or former RSOB student to participate! This challenge is open to drag performers, burlesque artists, and all other performance creatives. Come hang with us and make magic happen! Why join? Access to the RSOB costume closet (shoes, wigs, costume pieces) and supplies like E6000 glue, rhinestones, trims, and fabrics Connect with a vibrant local community of performers — a great networking opportunity to meet fellow artists Special visits and workshops from guest dancers like Dahlia Vee and more throughout the challenge Stay motivated and accountable with weekly meet-ups and progress sharing Suggested donation of $35 helps cover studio supplies Special Perk: All participants who complete the full 6 weeks will be featured on the RSOB website and social media, showcasing your incredible costume work to the burlesque community!
