The Shimmy Seminar Recital

Step into a glitter-soaked evening of rhinestones, confidence, comedy, sensuality, and first-time stage magic as the newest graduates of the Raleigh School of Burlesque take the stage for the Shimmy Seminar Recital!

The Shimmy Seminar is Raleigh Burlesque’s signature beginner burlesque intensive and has been helping students discover confidence, creativity, movement, and self-expression since 2011. Over the course of four weeks, students explore the foundations of burlesque performance including stage presence, musicality, costume concepts, classic burlesque traditions, choreography, reveals, performance skills, and — most importantly — the art of the tease.

This recital is the culmination of that journey.
