Calling all performers, artists, and creatives of all types! Join us for Open Studio Saturday, a one-time-only creative coworking session at Cell Block #9, Rachel Riot’s private home studio. It’s a relaxed, come-as-you-are space for working, connecting, and creating alongside other amazing humans. Whether you’re sewing, crafting, rhinestoning, practicing choreography, editing music, or just brainstorming your next big idea, this is your time to get inspired and stay productive. Think of it as a showgirl-style coworking morning — part studio time, part hangout, and 100% supportive community vibes. 🧵 What to Bring A project or task to work on (costume, craft, admin, choreo, etc.) Your own supplies and tools Headphones if you’re working on choreography 🎧 Coffee, water, or light snacks if you’d like ☕ We’ll have tables, mirrors, music, and plenty of creative energy waiting for you! 🖤 Why You’ll Love It Meet and collaborate with other local artists and performers Get inspired and make progress on your projects Enjoy a low-pressure, inclusive environment designed for connection and creativity Be part of a space that celebrates community, individuality, and body positivity 🌟 About Cell Block #9 Cell Block #9 is the home studio of Rachel Riot, founder of Raleigh Burlesque and Headmistress of the Raleigh School of Burlesque. The space hosts classes, workshops, and community events that uplift, empower, and connect creatives across the Triangle. Come as you are, bring what you’re working on, and spend your Saturday morning surrounded by inspiration. 💋


Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule please contact us at least 24 hours before the first class. Minimums & Maximums: Each class has a required minimum and maximum number of students. Minimums are set to ensure instructors are fairly compensated. If a class does not meet minimum enrollment, it may be canceled and all registered students will be notified. No-Shows: Students who do not attend class (no-shows) forfeit their payment. Payments are not refunded or credited. Refunds: We do not provide refunds for any reason. Transfers: Transfers may be offered only with a valid doctor’s note. Without proper documentation, transfers are not permitted. Final Note: Please treat your registration as a commitment to yourself, your classmates, and your instructors. No refunds, no exceptions.
